AU Commission Chairperson reiterates demand for permanent African seat

NEW YORK (United Nations) -The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, called Monday, in New York, for Africa to be granted a permanent Security Council seat, affirming that the continent’s exclusion from permanent representation 80 years after the UN’s founding constitutes "an injustice" to it.
