APS: A NATIONAL NEWS AGENCY... A GLOBAL MEDIA MODEL

APS was established on 1 December 1961 in Tunis during the glorious war of national liberation to serve as the standard-bearer of the Algerian Revolution on the global media stage. Following the recovery of national sovereignty, its headquarters was naturally relocated to Algiers.

APS fulfills its public service mission by developing comprehensive general and specialized written and audiovisual content covering political, economic, cultural and social topics, particularly to showcase the facts, actions and achievements of Algeria, alongside global news events.

In this regard, the agency gathers, processes and distributes facts, news, commentary, and written, photographic, or audiovisual documentation both domestically and internationally, ensuring complete, reliable, objective and verified information while adhering to journalistic ethics and public service standards.

The collected and processed information is provided to its extensive subscriber network, including institutions, audiovisual press, print and digital press, websites, and various other subscribers across different sectors.
