Algeria welcomes resumption of direct talks between parties to Western Sahara conflict

NEW YORK (United Nations) - Algeria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Amar Bendjama, underlined that Algeria welcomed the resumption of direct talks early this year between the two parties to the conflict, the Kingdom of Morocco and the Polisario Front, under the joint auspices of the United Nations and the United States of America, reaffirming Algeria’s steadfast commitment to a just and lasting solution founded on the Sahrawi people’s right to self-determination.
