African Union adopts "Algiers Declaration" on colonial crimes in Africa

ADDIS ABABA- The African Union (AU), during its 39th Summit on Sunday in Addis Ababa, adopted the "Algiers Declaration" on the crimes of colonialism in Africa as a contribution to the continental effort to criminalize colonialism and demand reparations, along with establishing November 30 as African Day in honor of the African martyrs and victims of the trans-Atlantic slave trade, colonialism, and apartheid, expressing its appreciation to the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for this initiative.
