General Doumbouya elected president of Guinea

CONAKRY - General Mamadi Doumbouya has been elected president of Guinea with 86.72% of the vote in the first round of the presidential election, according to results announced by the General Directorate of Elections (DGE).  Doumbouya had led a military transition since the coup d'état of September 2021.
