2026 FIFA World Cup (preparations): Algeria to face Guatemala, Uruguay in Italy

ALGIERS - The Algerian national football team is set to take on Guatemala and Uruguay in two friendly matches in Italy next March, as part of a training camp ahead of the 2026 World Cup, to be held from 11 June to 19 July, the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) announced. "During the training camp, the Desert Foxes will open against Guatemala (FIFA ranking: 94th) on Friday, March 27 at Luigi Ferraris Stadium in Genoa (8:30 PM), followed by a clash with Uruguay (ranked 17th) on Tuesday, March 31, at Allianz Stadium in Turin (8:30 PM)," FAF said in a statement on Friday evening.
