Algeria achieves best-ever overseas tally with 40 medals

TARANTO (Italy) - Algeria wrapped up its participation in the 20th Taranto 2026 Mediterranean Games (21 August – 3 September) in ninth place in the overall standings, with a total of 40 medals (13 gold, 8 silver, and 19 bronze), achieving its best historical performance in a Mediterranean Games edition held abroad.
