President Tebboune chairs meeting on converting Tanezrouft desert military barracks into prison for drug lords

ALGIERS - President of the Republic, commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and minister of National Defence Abdelmadjid Tebboune chaired a meeting Tuesday to assess the conversion of a military barracks in the Tanezrouft desert into a dedicated prison for drug lords and dealers, as well as its handover to the Ministry of Justice and its commissioning, the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement.
