Upon his arrival in Constantine Province, a squadron of Algerian Air Forces jets of the People’s National Army accompanied the presidential plane, while thousands of citizens gathered in the city center, where they gave the President of the Republic a large popular reception, welcoming him and appreciating the important projects he has allocated to the province in various fields.

The President, in turn, greeted the crowds of citizens who came from all municipalities of the province.

The President of the Republic began his visit by overseeing the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the new university hospital center project with a capacity of 500 beds, over an area estimated at 20 hectares, and includes 24 hospital departments and several medical specialties, in addition to 1,000-seat teaching facility.

After listening to the explanations provided about the project, the President of the Republic emphasized the need to move towards establishing health poles that provide precise medical services, to strengthen the national health system.

He said that "Algeria has credibility and great capabilities, which made many developed countries in the medical field express their desire to work with it," adding that Algeria "will obtain the necessary assistance to advance precise medical specialties."

He highlighted the importance of "training doctors who graduated from Algerian universities, in precise specialties."

Afterwards, the President of the Republic oversaw the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of a sports complex project that includes a football stadium with a capacity of 30,000 seats and two training fields, in addition to an accommodation facility with a capacity of 60 rooms integrated into the stadium, as well as an Olympic swimming pool.

The project also includes a multi-sports hall with a capacity of 2,000 seats and three tennis courts and a parking lot with a capacity of 3,500 vehicles, in addition to an energy pole.

The President of the Republic also supervised the inauguration of a new pharmaceutical manufacturing complex, specialized in the production of respiratory disease inhalers and ear, nose and throat medicines and the production of soft capsules in all their stages, in addition to the production of cancer drugs.

The facility covers 27,000 square meters and will create over 500 jobs.

At the Sisaoui urban pole, the President of the Republic oversaw the laying of the foundation stone for a project to construct 8,050 units under Aadl 3 program and 6,800 units under the public rental formula intended for the benefit of Constantine municipality.

The President of the Republic also watched a report about the modernization plan for the old city in Constantine and the ongoing development projects, in addition to a presentation concerning the housing sector at the local level and its digitization operation.

The President of the Republic also oversaw the opening of the connecting road between Trunk Road 3 and the East-West Highway.

Before starting the work and inspection visit program to the province, the President of the Republic paid tribute to the memory of renowned scholar Abdelhamid Ben Badis and met with his grandchildren.

The President of the Republic concluded this visit with a meeting with civil society's actors of Constantine, during which he listened to their concerns and suggestions on supporting the state’s development efforts in the province.

On the occasion, the President of the Republic expressed his commitment to find "balance between university graduates and investment fields, which has opened doors for start-up enterprises."

The President of the Republic underscored that the state is proceeding in achieving its endeavor towards progress and development, in response to citizens’ aspirations, stressing that "pessimistic discourse no longer have a place" given the tangible reality experienced by all Algerians."
