President Tebboune receives request from Germany’s counterpart to pardon writer Boualem Sansal

ALGIERS - The Federal President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, has requested the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to make a humanitarian gesture by pardoning the writer Boualem Sansal, who has been detained for a year, according to a statement issued Monday by the Presidency of the Republic.
