During his periodic interview with representatives of national media, broadcast Friday on national television and radio channels, the President of the Republic said that "Algeria is on the right path, making it a target of certain parties fearing the autonomy it has achieved and the restoration of its central roles on both regional and international levels."

He warned against voices spreading rumors and sowing doubt among citizens. In this regard, President Tebboune called on Algerians to show "solidarity and mobilization against parties willing to harm the country," especially through "attempts at sabotage from within." He recalled that Algeria has achieved positive results in several fields, highlighting social achievements.

"One-third of the population today benefits from free education, and the State supports the unemployed category through an allowance."

Stressing the need to improve citizens' living conditions, which "is the focus of the daily work with the Prime Minister and members of the Government," he reaffirmed his commitment to implementing, "as of 2026, new increases in salaries, student scholarships, and unemployment benefits, majoration that could also include pensions, depending on the State's available resources."

Regarding the new Government, the President of the Republic said that most ministers "work according to a clear roadmap."

"We have commitments for 2026 and 2027, and we are working to achieve our goals in figures, far from slogans," he added.

Answering a question about the criteria for appointing Sifi Ghrieb as Prime Minister, the President of the Republic said that the latter, "with his extensive field experience," will call to order any minister who does not follow the road map." "Sifi's appointment will ensure complementarity in the programming and implementation of the country's major decisions," he continued.

The President of the Republic further mentioned Yacine El-Mahdi Oualid's appointment as Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries.

"His proven skills in modernization will enable him to enhance the sector's condition, employing advanced techniques to meet the country's needs and achieve self-sufficiency."

As regards the new government, which includes nine women, President Tebboune considered that this number "remains insufficient," reaffirming his willingness to "strengthen the presence of women within the government and senior positions in the future."

Furthermore, the President of the Republic reiterated that "freedom of expression is guaranteed in Algeria, but insult and defamation are not permitted," adding that the doors of the media remain open to political parties.

Concerning the upcoming inclusive national dialogue, President Tebboune emphasized that its launch depends on its modalities and organizational forms so that all actors can express their opinions and thereby build a strong and democratic Republic.

After expressing regret about the delay in examining the law on political parties by the Parliament, the President of the Republic affirmed that dialogue with the State was essential, and dialogue between the two parties must be "highly constructive."

On this occasion, he announced the revision of the law on elections "in some of its technical aspects," as well as adjustments to the missions of the National Independent Authority for Elections (ANIE), stressing that the next legislative and local elections will be held within the scheduled deadlines.

Referring to the generalization of digitization, President Tebboune stressed the need to complete this operation by the end of the current year, affirming that he will take drastic measures in case of non-compliance with this deadline.
