The event brought together government officials, representatives of international organizations, economic institutions and investment stakeholders from around the world, according to an AAPI statement.

According to the same source, Rekkache attended the opening ceremony alongside Algeria’s Ambassador to Qatar, Salah Attia, and the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.

The opening session addressed the current challenges facing global investment and its role in supporting economic growth and achieving sustainable development, amid the geopolitical and technological shifts affecting the international economy, the statement said.

On the sidelines of the forum, Rekkache attended a panel discussion titled "Rebuilding Global Value Chains for Growth and Resilience." The session focused on changes affecting production, supply, and international trade chains, their impact on investment flows, and the opportunities available to national economies to strengthen their integration into global production networks.

The statement noted that the reshaping of global value chains offers opportunities to attract quality investments, facilitate technology transfer, develop local production capacities and boost value added, thereby supporting the competitiveness of national economies and their ability to adapt to international shifts.

The AAPI Director General’s participation in this international event is part of an effort to keep abreast of recent trends in investment and reinforce communication with international institutions and bodies involved in its promotion, the same source added.

It also seeks to learn about experiences and approaches to improving the business climate and attracting quality investments, in support of Algeria’s efforts to diversify its economy and foster its integration into global value chains.
