Algiers-Tamanrasset railway will drive development, integration across Africa

ALGIERS - The African Development Bank (AfDB) has underscored the strategic importance of the railway line connecting Algiers and Tamanrasset, saying it will be a driver of Algeria’s economic development and of continental integration, especially as the project is considered the cornerstone of Algeria’s strategy to expand its national rail network from the current 6,000 km to 15,000 km by 2030.
