African Energy Bank set for July launch with Algeria’s backing

ALGIERS - The launch of the African Energy Bank (AEB), expected by the end of next July and in which Algeria is among the first countries to commit, aims to equip the continent with an independent financing mechanism to strengthen its sovereignty and support the economic development of African countries, stated the Secretary-General of the African Petroleum Producers' Organization (APPO), Farid Ghezali.
