Kouidri unveils pharmaceutical plant project in Ouled Djellal
OULED DJELLAL- The Minister of Pharmaceutical Industry, Ouacim Kouidri, announced on Tuesday in Ouled Djellal a project to build a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in the province.
On the sidelines of his inspection and official visit to the province, the minister pointed out that the plant, scheduled for completion in 16 months, will produce medicines derived from date by-products.
Accompanied by the Governor of Ouled Djellal, Abderrahmane Dehimi, and the CEO of Saidal Group, Mourad Belkhelfa, the Minister chaired the inauguration, in Ouled Djellal, of the first pharmacy affiliated with the public group Saïdal.
Kouidri said that the pharmacy is one of 829 pharmacies spread across the country, collectively employing 900 pharmacists.
The network formerly belonged to the former National Enterprise for Retail Medicine Distribution (ENDIMED) and was recently transferred to the pharmaceutical group Saïdal.
The opening of the pharmacy is part of a wider initiative to rejuvenate public pharmacies, in line with President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s directives to safeguard jobs and generate new employment, particularly in southern provinces.
