ALGIERS – The Tala Hamza-Oued Amizour zinc-lead mining project in Bejaia, whose exploitation and processing works were officially launched on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, acting on behalf of the President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, marks a significant step in the development of Algeria's national mining sector, set to bolster the country's standing as a producer and exporter of mineral products, consistent with the State's broader push to build a diversified economy.
