WHO chief praises Algeria as benchmark in pharmaceutical industry

ALGIERS - The Director-General (DG) of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, stated on Thursday that Algeria serves as a model to follow both in Africa and globally in the pharmaceutical industry, after successfully meeting over 80% of its medicine needs through local production.
