Algeria marks World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought on Wednesday

ALGIERS - The Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, through the General Directorate of Forests, is celebrating the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, observed annually on June 17th, by organizing a series of activities at the national level, under the patronage of the sector’s minister, Yacine El Mahdi Oualid, according to a statement issued Tuesday by the directorate.
