Izemourene Battle, symbol of mujahideen’s resilience

TIZI-OUZOU  - The dates of March 22 and 23, 1957 stand as a defining moment in the history of the historical Wilaya III, recalling the Battle of Izemourene (Tizi-Ouzou) which remains a powerful symbol of the determination shown by the fighters of the National Liberation Army (NLA), who successfully foiled a French colonial military operation aimed at surrounding and capturing the leaders of the glorious Algerian Revolution.
