BISKRA - The Battle of Ferghous Akbach, fought on October 14, 1960 in the Ahmar Khedou mountains in what is now the commune of M'ziraa, in Biskra province, was a legendary engagement with survival at stake, waged by the fighters of the National Liberation Army (ALN) against the French colonial forces during the Revolution.
