ALGIERS – Algiers’ Attorney General moved swiftly on Thursday, ordering judicial police services across the relevant security agencies to open immediate, thorough and urgent investigations, following videos circulating on social media that show people on trucks discarding staple foods and a variety of edible vegetables in locations outside urban areas to stop them from being distributed, aiming to create market scarcity and drive-up prices.
