Death penalty to apply to arson, child abduction

ALGIERS - The bill amending and supplementing Order No. 66-156 containing the Penal Code, presented on Monday by the Minister of Justice, Lotfi Boudjemaa, before the Legal, Administrative, Freedoms, and Human Rights Affairs Committee of the People's National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament), aims to combat serious crime by establishing the death penalty for perpetrators of arson and child abduction.
