Electorate summoning launches local elections under new territorial division

ALGIERS - The official course for Algeria's local elections was formally launched after President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune summoned the electorate for Saturday, 28 November 2026, a key milestone that carries particular importance as it coincides with the country's new administrative division.
