Martyr Ahmed Zabana, symbol of sacrifice for homeland

MASCARA - Shaheed Ahmed Zabana, the first martyr executed by guillotine by the French colonial administration, on 19 June 1956, embodies a model of a freedom fighter conscious of the national cause from his youth, and remains one of the symbols of sacrifice for the Independence of Algeria.
