Law criminalizing French colonialism: Joint parliamentary commission holds first meeting on disputed provisions

ALGIERS - The joint commission of both parliamentary chambers held Thursday, at the headquarters of the Council of the Nation, its first meeting to begin working toward a consensus on the contested provisions of the bill criminalizing French colonialism in Algeria, the Upper House said in a statement.
