Traceability of criminal proceeds: Algeria sent 335 international mutual legal assistance to 32 countries

ALGIERS-Justice Minister, Lotfi Boudjemaa said Sunday that Algeria had sent 335 international mutual legal assistance requests to 32 countries under efforts to trace, freeze and confiscate criminal proceeds.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of African Anticorruption Day, organized by the High Authority for Transparency, Prevention, and Anticorruption under the patronage of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Boudjemaa emphasized that “the recovery of proceeds from corruption is a critical component in combating this scourge.”
