Algeria receives official certification of trachoma elimination

ALGIERS - Algeria on Tuesday received the World Health Organization’s (WHO) official certificate of recognition for the elimination of trachoma during a ceremony in Geneva, Switzerland. The milestone recognizes the country’s sustained national efforts to combat neglected tropical diseases and promote public health, the Ministry of Health said in a statement.
