Oran's "Ras El Abiad" desalination plant takes second place at 2026 Global Water Award

ALGIERS - The "Ras El Abiad" seawater desalination plant in Oran, operated by the Algerian Desalination Company (ADC), a subsidiary of Sonatrach, won second place at the 2026 Global Water Awards. The facility was recognized in the "Best Seawater Desalination Project of the Year" category during the Global Water Summit in Madrid.
