During a plenary session devoted to oral questions at the People’s National Assembly (Parliament’s Lower House) chaired by Vice-Speaker Guezout Toufik, in the presence of the Minister of Relations with the Parliament, Nadjiba Djilali, and members from the government, the minister emphasized that NESDA has an extensive network of over 300 entrepreneurship development centres at the level of universities and vocational training centres.

However, they do not cover all regions of the country, which necessitates resorting to digitization through the launch of an "online" entrepreneurship development centre.

Ouadah said that this digital centre, which will become operational "within a few weeks," will allow the expansion of the beneficiaries of the "NESDA" program to include young talents across the country.

The "NESDA" agency (formerly known as ANSEJ) requires applicants seeking funding to start a micro-enterprise to complete specialized training at one of its entrepreneurship development centres, which were created after the agency’s restructuring in recent years, under a new vision based on a purely economic approach.

The online entrepreneurship development centre will enable project holders to register on this platform in order to receive specialized training before submitting their application to the nearest provincial agency, while the progress of the application will be tracked online, the minister said.

"NESDA" funded 3,500 projects during 2025, the year that saw the resumption of financing after a suspension during its restructuring, Ouadah said.

He said that although this number may appear "limited" but is expected to rise gradually since the State is attaching special importance to this "sensitive" sector.

The agency aims to finance between 10,000 and 15,000 micro-enterprises annually starting this year (2026), according to the minister, who emphasized the importance of the programs launched by the agency at the end of last year, namely "Localization" and "Small Business Hub," meant to integrate micro-enterprises into production supply chains.
