Algeria advocates for equal opportunities between States in access to AI technologies

ALGIERS- The Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, stressed on Wednesday evening, in New York, on the imperative of guaranteeing equal opportunities between States for access to artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, in order to reduce the digital and development gap between North and South, underlining that the United Nations Convention against cybercrime, whose negotiation process was led by Algeria, "can constitute a legal basis to strengthen States’ sovereignty over their data and protect them against cyberattacks."
