"President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces and minister of National Defence, chaired a Council of Ministers meeting that examined a draft law on a technical constitutional amendment and two draft organic laws on the electoral system and political parties, in addition to a presentation on transportation cost compensation in the economic sector.

After the agenda was presented, followed by the Prime Minister's report on government activities over the past two weeks, the President of the Republic issued the following orders, instructions, and directives:

1- On the technical constitutional amendment:

The President of the Republic ordered the postponement of the technical constitutional amendment to allow for deeper study, strengthening the democratic electoral gains represented by the Independent National Electoral Authority.

2- On the Organic Law on Elections: The President of the Republic ordered a review of the amendments with greater scrutiny, given their purely technical nature.

He ordered a distinction to be made between formal and substantive elements in the amendments.

3- On the Organic Law on Political Parties: The Council of Ministers approved the draft organic law on political parties after endorsing the proposed amendments requested by the political parties.

The President of the Republic emphasized that these amendments collectively aim to set up coherence in the law, which ranks among the most democratic laws.

The President of the Republic congratulated Algeria's political family on this new milestone for the country's democratic landscape.

4- On the presentation concerning transportation cost compensation in the economic sector:

The presentation was examined by the Council of Ministers in line with the overall conditions of the economic sector."
