The president of the Republic made the statement while inaugurating the 33rd Algeria Production Fair, being held in the Exhibition Center of Algiers, and which is seeing record participation from both public and private enterprises.

Starting his tour at the military industry pavilion, the President hailed the high level of sophistication reached, particularly in terms of national integration rates and the use of local inputs."

The President of the Republic was accompanied by Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, the delegate minister to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, General Saïd Chanegriha, members of the Government, as well as various actors from the industrial sector.

"Military industry embodies patriotism and combines quality, cutting-edge technologies and self-sufficiency," said the President of the Republic, describing it as a "lever" for Algerian production, which is constantly progressing.

Welcoming the support of the country’s major strategic projects by the military industry, the President of the Republic emphasized the importance of cooperation with universities and start-ups.

Regarding the production of hunting rifles, the President of the Republic recalled that their sales are conducted exclusively through the National Federation of Hunters.

He underscored that the federation has been informed that "ammunition is available from the Army, and orders from federations nationwide must be consolidated through the National Federation, which serves as the only authorized intermediary," except in certain cases where individual sales are permitted.

During a visit to the stand of the steel group Tosyali, the President of the Republic emphasized the necessity for the European Union (EU) to open its market to high-quality Algerian steel, without restrictions, especially since Algeria does not impose quotas on the EU, but grants it preferential treatment compared to other countries.

The President of the Republic announced that the first train transporting iron ore from the Gara Djebilet mine (Tindouf) will arrive in Oran at the end of next January. "It is a historic milestone, because for the first time since the recovery of Algeria’s national sovereignty, iron ore will be transported to Oran, over a distance of nearly 2,000 kilometers," he said.

At the pharmaceutical industry stand, President Tebboune praised the level achieved by the various actors in the sector, particularly the LDM laboratory, which manufactures over 100 medicines and employs 900 people, saying he was proud of these industries that make Algeria a leader in Africa and even beyond the continent.

In this regard, he called on laboratory officials to "reach out to our African partners so Algeria can become the primary vaccine supplier for Africa, particularly since many laboratories do not produce these vaccines because they are not profitable enough."

He reiterated Algeria’s commitment to standing with Africa in combating diseases across the continent.

In front of a young entrepreneur from Sidi Bel Abbes, whose start-up operates in the mechanical industry sector, with an integration rate of 70%, the President of the Republic praised innovative youth, encouraging them to move forward and assuring them of the State’s willingness to provide them with the necessary support, particularly in terms of bank loans and land.

At the stand of the agro-industries group AGRODIV, President Tebboune reaffirmed the State’s determination to recover diverted funds transferred abroad, particularly to tax havens. He welcomed the entry into operation of several industrial units, as part of efforts to recover diverted funds and assets, following years of past "neglect."

The President of the Republic received a briefing on the group’s balance sheet and its new products, particularly with its expansion and the new units that have entered into operation. He reaffirmed the State’s support to investors and producers so as to promote local production, improve quality and go towards international markets, praising the constant improvement in the quality of products and services.

At the stand of the Giplait group, the President Tebboune stressed on the need to combat speculation on widely consumed products, warning speculators and calling on the group to "flood the market with its products in case of shortage, the State being there to compensate."

The President of the Republic also stopped by the stand of a ceramics manufacturer that exports to over 25 countries.

He commended the product quality and the company’s strong reputation, encouraging further business expansion.
