Algeria takes on French nuclear explosions with first homegrown radiation cleanup

ALGIERS - Marking the 66th anniversary of France's nuclear explosions, Algeria has launched its first partial decontamination operation at the blast sites, starting with In Ecker in Tamanrasset. The operation relies entirely on Algerian expertise, personnel, and national equipment, according to a documentary by the Information and Communication Directorate of the Ministry of National Defence.
