Bill criminalizing French colonization hailed as "historic achievement"

ALGIERS - The parliamentary groups of the People's National Assembly (lower house of Parliament) and the representative of non-affiliated MPs emphasized on Monday the importance of the recently passed bill criminalizing French colonization in Algeria, hailing it as a "historic achievement" for safeguarding Algeria's history and preserving national memory, the Lower House said in a statement.
