ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra received Tuesday, in Algiers, the Commissioner for Education, Science, Technology and Innovation at the African Union (AU) Pr. Mohamed Belhocine who is on a visit to Algeria as part of his missions as senior executive within AU Commission.

ALGIERS- The minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, will take part in the 6th EU-AU Summit bringing together the leaders of European Union and African Union countries in Brussels on February 17-18, as a representative of the president of the de la Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the ministry said Wednesday in a statement.

BEIRUT- Lebanese Minister of Culture, Mohamed Wissam Mortada, hailed Algeria's "proactive attitude" in thwarting the attempt to infiltrate the AU by the Zionist entity seeking an observer status, saying that "it is quite normal for the country of one and a half million shahids to work tirelessly to protect the African continent from the most dangerous type of colonization of all times.

ALGIERS- The Algerian-Palestinian Fraternity Association welcomed the decision of the African Summit suspending the observer status of the Zionist entity in the African Union (AU), the Association said in a statement.

ADDIS ABABA- African Union (AU) Summit, held Sunday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, suspended the decision of the African Commission' chairman, Moussa Faki, to grant an observer status to the Zionist entity and set up a committee made up of the leaders of seven African countries, including Algeria, to make a recommendation to the AU Summit about the issue.
