Paralympics: Algeria wins two silver medals

TOKYO (Japan)- Algeria won two silver medals at the Olympic Stadium of Tokyo on Saturday, the 12th day of the 16th Paralympic Games 2020.
BLIDA (Algeria)- The Algerian football easily defeated on Thursday its Djiboutian counterpart (8-0, half-time 4-0), in a match played Thursday night at the Mustapha Tchaker stadium in Blida, as part of the first day (Group A) of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Paralympic Games: Asmahane Boudjadar grabs gold

TOKYO (Japan)- Algerian Asmahane Boudjadar snatched a gold medal in the shot put (F33) at the Olympic Stadium of Tokyo on Thursday, the 10th day of 16th Paralympic Games, which are to run until September 5th.
ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Thursday congratulated Algeria's champions Safia Djelal, Skander Djamil Athmani and Ismahan Boudjadar who snatched gold medals in the Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
TOKYO (Japan)- Algerian throwing athlete Safia Djelal (F57) and sprinter Athmani Skander-Djamil (T13) grabbed the Paralympic gold medals, in respectively the shot put (F57) and the 400m race on Thursday, the 10th day of the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, setting, in addition, two new world records.
ALGIERS- Algerian national table tennis team, made up of four women and five men, is to compete in the African championship (September 1-7) in Yaoundé, Cameroon, with the participation of 100 athletes, including 41 girls representing 15 countries.
TOKYO (Japan)- Algerian athlete Skander-Djamil Athmani has qualified for the final of the 400m (T13) at the Olympic Stadium of Tokyo, after he won the event's first series on Wednesday, the ninth day of Paralympic Games that will wrap up on September 5th with a closing ceremony.
ALGIERS- Lieutenant General Said Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army (ANP), chaired on Monday the closing ceremony of the International Military Competition "Faithful Friend 2021," at the center for regrouping and preparation of military sports teams "Chahid Messaoud Boudjriou" in Ben Aknoun (Algiers), said the Ministry of National Defence in a statement.
ALGIERS- Algeria ranks 32nd in the medal standings of the 16th Paralympic Games in Tokyo at the end of the sixth day of world event, Sunday, mainly distinguished by the silver medal won by Athmani Skander-Djamil in the 100m (T13) event and the bronze of Lynda Hamri in the long jump (T12), rising Algeria's total number of medals to seven (1 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze) so far while other Algerian athletes expected to won more medals are to compete in the coming days.
