KHENCHELA- The first snowflakes covered on Sunday night the hills of the commune of Bouhmama and the locality of Ain Mimoun in Tamza in the province of Khenchela.

ALGIERS- An earthquake of 5.2 magnitude on Richter scale jolted 'El Harrouch, province of Skikda, on Sunday at 4:53 a.m., announced the Research Centre in Astronomy, Astrophysics and Geophysics (CRAAG) in a statement.

BECHAR (Algeria)- A criminal network of drug traffickers composed of seven individuals, including two women, has been dismantled in Bechar (965-km southwest of Algiers) by the regional anti-drug service, which seized a quantity of 1.4 quintal of cannabis that was in possession of the ring, the provincial police's communication unit reported Monday.
