Industrial production up 1.3% in 2016

ALGIERS- Industrial production in the Algerian public sector increased by 1.3% during 2016 compared to 2015, driven slightly by the sectors of wood and paper processing, building materials and energy, while some fields like iron, steel, mechanical engineering, electric power and electronics industries showed poor performances during the same period of reference, the National Office of Statistics (ONS) told APS.

PARIS- The Chief Executive Officer of Sonatrach Abdelmoumen Ould Kaddour said Thursday, in Paris, that Algeria will maintain its level of oil and gas exports, while ensuring the security of the supply of the domestic market.
ORAN – Algeria envisages exporting a part of cars produced by French carmaker Renault in Oued Tlelat plant, said Minister of Industry and Mines, Abdeslam Bouchouareb.
TAMANRASSET-Premier Abdelmalek Sellal, who is on a working and inspection visit to the province of Tamanrasset on Thursday, has inaugurated a gas processing plant in Hassi-Moumene (43 km from In-Salah).
