ALGIERS – Prime Minister, Ahmed Ouyahia, is to present on Monday the Government’s Action Plan before the Council of the Nation (Senate). The People’s National Assembly (Lower House) has adopted last Thursday by large majority the Plan, by 341 deputies, 64 votes and 13 abstentions.

ALGIERS-Cereal harvesting has slightly increased during the 2016-2017 campaign and hit 34,807,119 quintals against 34,321,237 quintals in the previous campaign, announced the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fishing.

Annual inflation rate at 5.9% until August 2017

ALGIERS- The evolution of the annual rate of consumer prices stood at 5.9% until August 2017, said the National Office of Statistics (ONS).
ALGIERS- Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fishing Abdelkader Bouazghi and his Chinese counterpart, Han Changfu, signed in Beijing two cooperation agreements in protection of plants and animal health, the ministry said Friday in a statement.
