ALGIERS- Petroleum and mining activities cannot be implemented to the detriment of health, safety and environment protection, the ministry of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, said Tuesday in a statement.

ALGIERS – A working plan has been set up on the achievement of mining projects. A roadmap has been also elaborated to define the coming steps, announced Thursday the Energy and Mining Ministry in a communiqué.

ALGIERS- Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab said Monday in Algiers that Algeria relies on the development of the mining sector to boost its economy, based mainly on the oil and gas industry, said the ministry in a statement.

ALGIERS- Mining in the iron ore of Ghar-Djebilet, Tindouf (2000-km southwest of Algiers ) is to be launched in January, the ministry of Mining, Mohamed Arkab, said Tuesday, adding that negotiations are underway with a foreign partner for the building of a complex to produce 12 million de tonnes a year.

ALGIERS-Algeria and the Czech Republic will soon seal a memorandum of mining cooperation under the visit of a Czech delegation to Algeria in May 2021, said the Ministry of Mines in a communiqué.
