ALGIERS- The minister of Energy and Mining, Mohamed Arkab, on Sunday stressed the opportunities for presence of Algerian companies in Congo, in a meeting with the Congolese minister of hydrocarbons, the acting president of the OPEC Conference, Bruno Jean-Richard Itoua.

Hydrocarbons : Over 3% growth in 2021

ALGIERS- The Hydrocarbons sector recorded a growth of more than 3% in 2021, a performance observed from the second quarter and which increased in the last three months of last year, according to the National Statistics Office (ONS).

ALGIERS- Oil and gas group Sonatrach successfully drilled, on March 22, a delineation well West Oglet En Nasser-2 (WOEN-2) in the perimeter of Touggourt Est I (North of the field of Hassi Messaoud), and also successfully tested, during the same month, the exploration well Ouled Sidi Cheikh-1 (OSC-1) in the perimeter El Ouabed, in the province of El Bayadh (west of Hassi R’Mel).
