ALGIERS- The minister of Energy Transition and Renewable Energy, Chems-Eddine Chitour, said Monday the goal set for 2021 as part of the sector's roadmap consists in saving 10% of the energy consumed now (six million tonnes a year).

ALGIERS- The Sonatrach Group has renewed, for a period of three years, the agreement between the Group and the National Agency for the Promotion and Rationalization of Energy Use (APRUE), with a view to rationalizing energy consumption at all its facilities and to preserve the environment, said Monday the Group in a statement.

ALGIERS – Minister of Energy Mustapha Guitouni said Tuesday in Algiers that the national energy efficiency programme will allow the creation of an energy economy estimated at 73 million Tonne of oil equivalent (TOE) in 2030, worth USD$25 billion through rationalized energy consumption.

ALGIERS –More than 80% of the energy produced in the country is consumed by the local authorities, said Thursday Minister of Energy, Mustapha Guitouni, calling for intensifying campaigns on energy consumption rationalization.
