ALGIERS-President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, on Saturday chaired a meeting of the High Security Council to assess the situation in the country in the light of recent developments concerning the Covid-19 pandemic, announced the Presidency of the Republic in a communiqué.

ALGIERS- The minister-counsellor for Communication and official spokesman of the presidency of the Republic, Belaid Mohand Oussaid, stressed Wednesday "the strong political will to enforce the law against anyone who uses social media to offend people and sow discord."

ALGIERS-President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Tuesday evening held a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Niger Mahamadou Issoufou, with whom he discussed the health situation in the two countries and the prospects for broadening consultations and bilateral cooperation, said the Presidency of the Republic in a communiqué.
