ALGIERS- Two hundred and forty-three (243) new confirmed Coronavirus cases (Covid-19), 193 recoveries and 5 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours in Algeria, said Tuesday in Algiers Spokesperson for the Scientific Committee in charge of the Coronavirus pandemic evolution, Dr Djamel Fourar.

NEW YORK (United Nations) - Algeria’s permanent representative to the UN, Ambassador Sofiane Mimouni, said on Monday that the United Nations reform can only be complete with an "increase in the size and component" of the Security Council so as to reflect the "current geopolitical realities".

Dams filling rate at 44.60%

ALGIERS- The filling rate of the exploited dams nationwide has reached 44.60%, as a result of the rainfalls recorded since late November, the National Dams Agency told APS on Monday.

ALGIERS-Algeria has been elected member of the Council of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) for a two-year term, announced Sunday the Ministry of Energy Transition and Renewable Energy in a communiqué.
