ALGIERS- Voter turnout in the municipal elections reached 13.30% at one o'clock in the afternoon, the chairman of the National Independent Authority for Elections, Mohamed Charfi, said Saturday.

ALGIERS-Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), Lieutenant General Saïd Chanegriha on Saturday cast his ballot at Ahmed Bey middle school, located in the municipality of Oued Koreich (Algiers), under the November 27 local elections.  

GHARDAIA-The Speaker of the People’s National Assembly (Lower House), Brahim Boughali, on Saturday cast his ballot at the polling station of "Abi-Ishak Brahim Tfyeche" school, located in Beni-Isguen (province of Ghardaia).

ALGIERS-The President of the Independent National Authority for Elections (ANIE), Mohamed Charfi said Thursday in Algiers that the New Algeria was based on "free choice" of the people's representatives in the elected Assemblies, reassuring voters that their votes will be "preserved" in the next Saturday elections.

ALGIERS- Nearly 24 million electors were called to vote on Saturday, 27th November, for the renewal of People’s Municipal, Provincial Assemblies (APC/APW), a ballot that constitutes a coronation for the building of institutions and which should mark the transition to new community governance by giving a fresh impetus to local development.

ALGIERS-The President of the National Independent Authority for Elections (ANIE), Mohamed Charfi on Wednesday reported 538 violations of the regulation of the electoral campaign for the November 27 local elections, including 142 referred to justice.

OUARGLA-Voters in the landlocked and remote regions of the country's south began to flock on Wednesday, individually or in small groups, to the mobile polling stations to elect their representatives to the People's Communal Assemblies (APC) and the People's Provisional Assemblies (APW) as part of the November 27 elections, APS reporters noted.

OUARGLA (Algeria)- Voting began Wednesday at 8 a.m. in the remote areas of the country's south as mobile polling stations have been sent to different regions to allow the local populations to take part in the municipal and provincial elections of November 27.

ALGIERS- The leaders of the political parties running for the local elections of November 27th reiterated their call Tuesday, the final day of the election campaign, for a high voter turnout, urging citizens to go vote to contribute to the expected change.

ILLIZI-Seventeen (17) mobile polling stations on Tuesday left for the provinces in Illizi and Djanet to crisscross sparse and isolated areas so that voters fulfill their civic duty, brought forward lawfully by 72 hours under the November 27 local elections.
