ALGIERS- Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum reiterated Monday, in Algiers, Algeria's categorical position in favour of a political solution in Libya that rules out the use of arms and mercenaries.

NEW YORK (United Nations) - The countries present at the Berlin Conference on Libya are meeting at the ministerial level on Monday to renew their commitment to a comprehensive solution that would allow the return to peace in this country plagued by violence since 2011.

ALGIERS- The inter-Libyan consultations which took place in Montreux in Switzerland aimed at finding a solution to the Libyan crisis were welcomed by the international community, which appealed on all Libyan actors to seize this opportunity to resume dialogue for a comprehensive solution to the crisis.

ALGIERS- Minister of Communication, Government Spokesman, Ammar Belhimer, said that the return of Libya on the international scene and its freedom from the stranglehold of terrorism should boost the Arab Maghreb Union (AMU).

TRIPOLI-Libya’s Government of National Accord (GNA) and the Eastern-based Parliament on Friday separately announced an immediate ceasefire and a halt in fighting countrywide.  

ALGIERS- El Djeich magazine stressed Thursday, in its editorial, “the urgent need to reach a peaceful resolution to the crisis in Libya, and warned against the “serious” repercussions of this conflict on the countries of the region, including Algeria.

NEW YORK-Algeria’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Sofiane Mimouni urged the UN Security Council to fully engage in the search for an inclusive political solution in Libya under “a genuine multilateral action” against this country, which has been plagued by violence since 2011.  

ALGIERS-  Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Tuesday in Algiers said that his country was committed to "coordinate with Algeria to reach a peaceful solution to the Libyan crisis and enable it to recover its security and stability."

MOSCOW- Minister of Foreign Affairs Sabri Boukadoum warned against behaviours that might divide Libya, calling all the parties to preserve this country’s unity and sovereignty.

ALGIERS-The National Defence Ministry on Thursday “formally” has denied “false and baseless allegations” relayed through social networks ascribed to Lieutenant General Said Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army (ANP), about recent developments in the situation in Libya.
