ALGIERS- The voter turnout of the legislative elections reached 4.13% at 10:00 a.m. nationwide, Minister of the Interior and Local Authorities Nourredine Bedoui said Thursday. 

 The voter turnout is slightly above that recorded in 2012, which was 4.11% at the same time. 

 OUARGLA- The electors in the southern provinces of the country started Thursday voting to elect their representatives in the next People’s National Assembly, as part of 2017’s legislative elections.

ALGIERS- The speaker of the People's National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament), Mohamed Larbi Ould Khelifa, accomplished Thursday morning his electoral duty in a school in Ben Aknoun, Algiers.

ALGIERS- The Speaker of the Council of the Nation Abdelkader Bensalah accomplished Thursday morning, in a school in Cheraga-east (Algiers), his electoral duty for the renewal of the People’s National Assembly.

More than 23 million voters will elect 462 deputies of the People’s National Assembly.

ALGIERS- Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal accomplished Thursday morning, at the El Ghazali School in Algiers, his electoral duty for the renewal of the People’s National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament).

ALGIERS- Minister of Communication Hamid Grine received, Wednesday, the delegations representing international institutions in charge of the observation of the legislative elections, affirming that the media coverage of the election campaign was “honest and peaceful,” underlining that “violations without impact have been recorded.”

LONDON (United Kingdom)- Six polling stations opened Thursday in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as well as in the Republic of Ireland, to allow the Algerian community to vote  for the new Lower House of Parliament.

ALGIERS- Polling stations opened Thursday morning across national territory to receive some 23 million electors to vote for 462 MPs at the People's National Assembly (Lower House of Parliament) for a five-year term.

ALGIERS- More than 23 million voters are urged Thursday to elect the 462 members of the People’s National Assembly for the next five years in elections which will take place within the framework of the new constitutional provisions that are due to guarantee transparency and impartiality.
