ALGIERS-Minister of Interior and Local Assemblies Noureddine Bedoui affirmed Thursday the entrenchment of unity and cohesion in the light of Algeria's current situation required the participation of citizens in the legislative polls.  

"Citizen's participation in today's elections was necessary for the entrenchment of unity and cohesion in the light of Algeria's current situation," the minister told the press after he accomplished his electoral duty at Ahmed Aroua primary school in Bouchaoui (west of Algiers).

ALGIERS- The voter turnout rate at the legislative elections 2017 has reached 4.13% on Thursday at 10 a.m., including 4.01% nationwide and 6.99% for national community abroad, according to figures provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Local Authorities.

ALGIERS- The voter turnout at the legislative elections 2017 hit 15.58% at 2 p.m., Minister of Interior and Local Authorities Noureddine Bedoui said Thursday in Algiers.

The turnout rate at 2017 polls was 4.13% at 10 a.m.

ALGIERS- The voter turnout of the legislative elections reached 4.13% at 10:00 a.m. nationwide, Minister of the Interior and Local Authorities Nourredine Bedoui said Thursday. 

 The voting turnout is slightly above that recorded in 2012, which was 4.11% at the same time.

ALGIERS-Chairman of the High Independent Authority for Election Monitoring (HIISE) Abdelouhab Derbal affirmed Thursday that legislative polls ran “smoothly” countrywide.

The HIISE received “15 complaints and all them of them relate to competition, particularly the absence of some electoral lists or the names of voters,” said Derbal after he voted at Ahmed Aroua primary school in Cheraga (west of Algiers).
