ALGIERS – The legislative and local elections organized during the year of 2017 in Algeria have consolidated the stability of institutions that has gradually and through the elections entrenched in the political and institutional sphere. 

NEW YORK- United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres on Friday has congratulated Algeria on the "peaceful conduct" of the 4 May legislative elections, said his spokesperson Stephane Dujarric in a statement.
