The President of the Republic said at the meeting of the Council of Ministers he chaired that the creation of new provinces aimed to "ease the burden and bring the administration closer to the citizen”, stressing "the continuation of the operation of reorientation of human resources for the benefit of new provinces and the creation of a platform to define the positions in line with the population density.”

In this regard, President Tebboune underlined the need to give priority to the new provinces in terms of job opportunities based on the "place of birth" of the employees transferred from the provinces of origin, with the possibility "to hire new employees through competition if necessary.”  

The newly created provinces are Timimoune, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Beni Abbes, Ouled Djellal, In Salah, In Guezzam, Touggourt, Djanet, El-Meghaier and El-Menia.
